Lots of things have happened since our autumn 2021 newsletter, some of it exciting and new, but also sadly, quite a few weather based challenges that have caused significant damage to the cottage and nature reserve paths. In these days of increasingly frequent weather events it’s something we just have to deal with and keep working away at.

The Scottish Land Fund were instrumental in enabling the community buyout of Castle Loch. At the tail end of 2016 they made a series of videos covering some of the projects they have supported, including this one about Castle Loch.

April 2019, Annandale Herald: The wonderful news that the funding had been raised to extend the nature reserve and create a new footpath and outdoor play space
Saturday, 20th August, 2015. The volunteers and trustees were interviewed for BBC Radio Scotland's "Out of Doors" programabout our work at Castle Loch.
